Job Overview – Project Manager (Commercial Construction):
Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000/year + bonus
Location: Essex County, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Project Manager (Commercial Construction) in Essex County, MA, with our client. In this hybrid role, you’ll lead full-cycle management of commercial construction projects, overseeing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communication across higher ed, assisted living, and manufacturing facilities. Ideal for construction leaders who can run work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and drive successful project delivery.
Responsibilities as the Project Manager (Commercial Construction):
- Project Leadership: Oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring alignment with client objectives and quality standards.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, timelines, and cost controls to deliver projects on time and within financial targets.
- Subcontractor Oversight: Select, contract, and manage subcontractors while monitoring performance, safety, and quality compliance.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, and consultants, providing updates and resolving project issues.
- Site Coordination: Conduct site visits, support field teams, and maintain safety and operational coordination across all project activities.
Qualifications for the Project Manager (Commercial Construction):
- Experience: 5-12 years of commercial construction experience with a strong background in interiors, renovations, and large-scale facility or ground-up projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with project requirements in higher education, assisted living, industrial, and manufacturing facilities.
- Skills & Attributes: Team-oriented, coachable, and self-driven professional with strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.
