Atlantic Group is hiring an Insurance Verification & Authorization Supervisor in Camden County, NJ for our client. This hybrid leadership role oversees insurance verification, authorization, and billing operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency. You’ll lead and mentor a billing team, manage payer communications, and implement process improvements. Ideal for professionals with strong healthcare billing and revenue cycle management experience.

Responsibilities as the Insurance Verification & Authorization Supervisor:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the insurance verification and billing team, ensuring timely resolution of tasks and billing queues.
  • Training & Development: Oversee onboarding, training, and coaching to drive performance and maintain adherence to billing SOPs.
  • Insurance Operations: Manage insurance verification, authorizations, and claims resolution while maintaining accurate payer and patient records.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to workflows, SOPs, and reimbursement procedures for greater efficiency.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure HIPAA compliance, uphold quality standards, and prepare monthly performance reports for leadership.

Qualifications for the Insurance Verification & Authorization Supervisor:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in insurance verification, authorization, and medical billing, with previous supervisory or team lead responsibilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with EMR, EHR, or billing software platforms.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical claims processing, payer guidelines, healthcare reimbursement, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Skills & Attributes: Organized, detail-oriented leader with strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
