Job Overview – SQL Data Engineer (Healthcare Claims):

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a temporary SQL Data Engineer for our client in Middlesex County, MA. This hybrid role leverages SQL and Databricks to integrate healthcare claims data, ensure accuracy, and generate actionable insights. You will manage pipelines, perform advanced analytics, and partner with leadership on reporting, KPI development, and market intelligence to drive better business decisions and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities as the SQL Data Engineer:
- SQL & Data Engineering: Design, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and Databricks pipelines to process healthcare claims data from multiple sources.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee monthly data refreshes, competitive updates, and total addressable market (TAM) analysis to ensure timely and accurate insights.
- Advanced Analytics: Build robust datasets by integrating real-world evidence, product usage, and patient-level data to support business intelligence and strategy.
- Visualization & Reporting: Develop dashboards, charts, and reports using Tableau, Databricks Genie, and Excel to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Data Integrity & KPI Development: Ensure accuracy and compliance of all datasets while partnering with leadership to establish KPIs and operational metrics.
Qualifications for the SQL Data Engineer:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5+ years in data engineering or analytics with expertise in healthcare claims, patient-level data, or real-world evidence.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL, Databricks, data pipelines, and BI tools (Tableau, Excel) with expertise in data profiling, validation, and analytics.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare datasets, including claims and patient-level data, with experience in medical device data, particularly in diabetes, preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong communicator with problem-solving ability, able to translate complex data into actionable insights while thriving in fast-paced, collaborative environments with adaptability and initiative.
