Oversee drawing revisions, design updates, and change order coordination while ensuring DEP compliance. Responsibilities as the Project Engineer:
- Document Control: Manage construction drawing revisions, including change orders, design clarifications, and modifications.
- Change Order Coordination: Collaborate with managers and engineers to assess changes and ensure accurate documentation.
- Project Collaboration: Work with construction managers, resident engineers, and project managers on drawing updates.
- Field Support: Provide inspectors with updated drawings and prepare revised as-built shop drawings.
- File Management: Maintain CAD/PDF files and hard copies of all drawings for compliance and accessibility.
Qualifications for the Project Engineer:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 5+ years of engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in change order coordination, including required experience on DEP projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD software, and document management systems.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of design-build contract delivery, construction documentation processes, and drawing revision protocols.
- Skills & Attributes: Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a collaborative team environment.
