Job Overview – Manufacturing Operations Manager:
Compensation: $130,000 – $150,000/year
Location: Parsippany, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Drive operational excellence as a Manufacturing Operations Manager with our client in Parsippany, NJ. Oversee daily operations across Assembly, Quality, Engineering, and Planning to ensure on-time delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement. Collaborate cross-functionally on product launches, process optimization, and strategic planning while using ERP systems to boost efficiency. Ideal for experienced operations leaders with a background in Lean Manufacturing, supply chain, and team development.
Responsibilities as the Manufacturing Operations Manager:
- Team Leadership: Oversee Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, and Quality teams to drive operational performance.
- Production Management: Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of customer orders while maintaining high quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Lead Lean, Six Sigma, or similar initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Talent Development: Recruit, train, and manage team members while fostering growth and accountability.
- Strategic Execution: Align daily operations with business goals and act as a key liaison to executive leadership.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure safety and regulatory compliance while leveraging ERP tools to monitor KPIs and support decisions.
Qualifications for the Manufacturing Operations Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 7+ years of operational leadership in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of driving process improvements and leading cross-functional teams.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems, data analysis platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of supply chain operations, production planning, quality assurance systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to solve complex problems, drive strategic initiatives, and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
