In this high-impact role, you’ll lead strategic outreach, identify new business opportunities, and manage key accounts in construction, utilities, and public infrastructure. Ideal for professionals with proven business development experience and strong industry relationships in large-scale or regulated project environments.
Responsibilities as the Business Development Manager:
- Opportunity Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across diverse infrastructure sectors, focusing on multi-stakeholder or project-based environments.
- Client Management: Cultivate lasting partnerships with clients, agencies, and key stakeholders to drive account growth and retention.
- Proposal Management: Oversee the development of proposals and collaborate with internal teams to structure pricing, scope, and contract details.
- Sales Execution: Align business development efforts with company goals while coordinating with leadership and marketing for brand alignment.
- Market Positioning: Track industry activity, analyze competitor strategies, and adapt positioning to maintain a competitive edge.
- CRM Reporting: Maintain a consistent pipeline within CRM systems and provide regular updates on forecasts, opportunities, and outreach activities.
Qualifications for the Business Development Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5+ years in business development or sales within construction or infrastructure, preferably involving complex or regulated infrastructure projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in complex infrastructure or capital project environments, with preferred experience collaborating across public and private sector stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in Salesforce, Quick Base, or UCaaS platforms preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Results-driven, highly organized, and collaborative, with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop long-term strategic relationships across the infrastructure sector.
- Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 50% for meetings, site visits, and regional industry events.
