Join our client as a Business Development Manager (Infrastructure & Utilities) in Monmouth County, NJ, leading growth initiatives across complex, multi-stakeholder infrastructure sectors. In this high-impact role, you’ll drive strategic client engagement, identify new market opportunities, and manage key accounts within construction and infrastructure services. Ideal for professionals with strong industry relationships and experience delivering full-cycle business development strategies for large-scale or regulated projects.
Responsibilities as the Business Development Manager:
- Client & Market Development: Identify new opportunities across telecom, utilities, renewables, EV, and municipal infrastructure sectors.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with clients, carriers, utilities, and agencies.
- Proposals & Contracts: Lead proposal creation and coordinate with project managers and estimators to finalize contracts.
- Sales Strategy: Drive sales aligned with brand goals, collaborating with marketing and executive leadership.
- Competitive Intelligence: Track industry trends and competitor activity to refine positioning and pricing strategies.
- CRM & Forecasting: Manage pipeline and reporting through CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasts and activity tracking.
Qualifications for the Business Development Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5+ years in business development or sales within construction or infrastructure, preferably involving complex or regulated infrastructure projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in complex infrastructure or capital project environments, with preferred experience collaborating across public and private sector stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in Salesforce, Quick Base, or UCaaS platforms preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Results-driven, highly organized, and collaborative, with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop long-term strategic relationships across the infrastructure sector.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
