Job Overview – Construction Superintendent:
Compensation: $120,000 – $170,000/year + bonus
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Our client is hiring a Construction Superintendent in Philadelphia, PA, to manage large-scale ground-up and renovation projects across industrial, warehouse, institutional, education, and healthcare sectors. You will oversee on-site operations, enforce safety and quality standards, manage project schedules, and coordinate subcontractors across complex builds in the Philadelphia five-county region. Experience with healthcare, heavy civil, or high-rise construction is highly valued.

Responsibilities as the Construction Superintendent:

  • On-Site Project Management: Oversee daily field operations for large-scale commercial, warehouse, institutional, and education construction projects.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Manage project schedules, track milestones, and coordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, and materials.
  • Safety, Compliance & Quality: Enforce safety protocols, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain quality standards through inspections and issue resolution.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the on-site liaison for clients, architects, engineers, and project managers, ensuring clear communication.
  • Documentation & Problem Solving: Maintain project records (logs, RFIs, reports), troubleshoot issues, and proactively address site challenges.

Qualifications for the Construction Superintendent:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 10-20 years managing large-scale industrial, warehouse, institutional, or healthcare construction projects, with heavy civil and high-rise experience strongly valued.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and project scheduling software (such as Primavera P6 or MS Project).
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership and communication skills, with proven ability to manage complex construction sites, coordinate multiple trades, and drive results on large, fast-paced projects.
