Atlantic Group is hiring a Compliance Associate (Hedge Funds) to join our client’s team in New York, NY. This in-office role is ideal for professionals with experience in SEC-registered investment advisers and private fund compliance. You’ll oversee regulatory reviews, manage third-party due diligence and AML/KYC processes, and contribute to ESG and cybersecurity initiatives. This high-impact position offers the opportunity to drive firmwide compliance and ensure regulatory excellence.
Responsibilities as the Compliance Associate:
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain and monitor compliance programs aligned with SEC regulations and private fund standards.
- Internal Reviews: Conduct audits and assessments to identify gaps, mitigate risks, and ensure regulatory alignment.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Draft, update, and implement firm-wide compliance policies and protocols.
- Third-Party Oversight: Manage due diligence and ongoing monitoring of vendors and external service providers.
- AML/KYC & Filings: Support AML/KYC processes and assist with regulatory filings, including Form ADV and Form PF.
- Special Initiatives: Contribute to cybersecurity, ESG compliance efforts, and act as a liaison across internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications for the Compliance Associate:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field required.
- Experience: 3-6 years of compliance experience within SEC-registered investment advisers, preferably in private equity or investment management.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with compliance systems, AML/KYC platforms, and regulatory filing tools is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of private funds, investment advisers, SEC regulations, AML/KYC rules, and ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., SFDR, EU Taxonomy).
- Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.
