Job Overview – Assistant Project Manager (Construction):
Join our client in Radnor, PA, as an Assistant Project Manager (Construction), supporting the execution of specialized projects within the pharmaceutical and research sectors. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this role involves managing project workflows, ensuring compliance with specifications, and coordinating with stakeholders from project initiation to completion.

Compensation: $60,000 – $85,000/year + bonus
Location: Radnor, PA

Responsibilities as the Assistant Project Manager:

  • Project Coordination & Execution: Support project management efforts, ensuring alignment with stakeholder objectives and established procedures.
  • Technical Documentation & Compliance: Prepare project submittals, including door schedules and hardware specifications, while ensuring adherence to building regulations and technical drawings.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with contractors, engineers, and internal teams to maintain accurate and timely project updates.
  • Drawing Review & Quality Control: Analyze technical drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Process & System Management: Utilize SAP Business One and Microsoft Office Suite to track project data, manage schedules, and facilitate reporting.
  • Site Visits & Problem-Solving: Travel to project sites as needed for inspections, meetings, and hands-on issue resolution.

Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in construction project management or assistant project management.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with estimating, specialty construction scopes, and AutoCAD (or equivalent) for 2D technical drawings.
  • Software Skills: Experience with SAP Business One, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word for project tracking and documentation.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexibility & Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites for meetings, inspections, and hands-on project oversight.
