Job Overview – Commercial Lines Account Manager (Hybrid):
Step into a dynamic role with our client as a Commercial Lines Account Manager in Southfield, MI. In this hybrid position, you will manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, providing exceptional client service, overseeing policy servicing, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of renewals and endorsements. Collaborating closely with producers and clients, you will play a key role in maintaining and growing client relationships while supporting the agency’s operations.

Compensation: $75,000 – $95,000/year + bonus
Location: Southfield, MI
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Commercial Lines Account Manager:

  • Client Management: Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing service calls and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Policy Oversight: Manage new business, renewals, endorsements, certificates, and billing for assigned accounts.
  • Renewal Coordination: Review quotes and monitor expiration lists to ensure timely policy updates and retention.
  • Collaboration: Work with producers on marketing, policy reviews, and client presentations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, prepare summaries of insurance, and track account activities.
  • Technical Expertise: Use industry platforms like EPIC and carrier systems to manage accounts and process policy updates.

Qualifications for the Commercial Lines Account Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
  • Licensure: Active Property & Casualty License required.
  • Experience: 3+ years in commercial lines insurance, with expertise in small to medium-sized accounts and familiarity with agency management systems like EPIC.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experienced with online carrier platforms (e.g., Travelers, Hartford, CNA).
  • Skills: Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and the ability to build client relationships while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
