Job Overview – Receptionist (Temporary):
Take on a vital role with our hedge fund client as a Receptionist (Temporary) in New York, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity involves managing front desk operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and creating a welcoming environment for visitors, clients, and staff. Compensation: $20 – $24/hour
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Receptionist (Temporary):
- Front Desk Management: Handle high-volume calls, route them appropriately, and take detailed messages.
- Guest Reception: Welcome visitors, escort them to conference rooms, and provide assistance during visits.
- Scheduling: Manage calendars for 10+ conference rooms and coordinate meeting requests.
- Administrative Support: Perform office tasks such as scanning, copying, filing, and coordinating deliveries.
- Event Support: Coordinate catering requests and assist with planning special events.
- Documentation: Update procedure manuals and support firm-wide projects as needed.
Qualifications for the Receptionist (Temporary):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field required.
- Experience: 1-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within financial services or a corporate environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, customer service, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Attributes: Team player with a professional demeanor, a sense of urgency, and a proactive approach to tasks.
