Job Overview – Demolition Estimator (Construction):
Join our construction client in Philadelphia, PA, as a Demolition Estimator, where you'll play a crucial role in evaluating projects, preparing accurate cost estimates, and driving the financial success of construction initiatives. Collaborate with project teams to develop competitive bids and maintain precision in all cost projections.
Compensation: $140,000 – $155,000/year + bonus + vehicle allowance
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Responsibilities as the Demolition Estimator:
- Project Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for demolition projects, including full building demolitions, selective interior demolition, and repurposing efforts.
- Scope Assessment: Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to accurately determine the scope of work and project requirements.
- Bid Preparation: Develop comprehensive bids, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs, ensuring competitiveness and accuracy.
- Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks associated with projects and incorporate contingency plans into estimates.
- Coordination: Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and availability of required services.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all estimates, including assumptions and cost breakdowns for future reference.
Qualifications for the Demolition Estimator:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 7-15 years of experience in estimating demolition work, ranging from full building demolitions to repurposing projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of demolition techniques, equipment, and industry standards.
- Skills: Effective communication and analytical skills for engaging stakeholders and developing accurate project estimates.
