Job Overview – Senior Residential Estimator:
Step into a key leadership role as a Senior Residential Estimator with our client in Boston, MA, driving the estimating process for high-end residential construction projects. This position combines advanced estimating expertise with project management components, ensuring accurate cost projections and seamless project execution.
Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Responsibilities as the Senior Residential Estimator:
- Cost Estimation: Develop comprehensive estimates for residential construction projects, including detailed breakdowns of materials, labor, and equipment.
- Project Management: Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project goals, maintaining oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bid Coordination: Prepare bid packages, solicit proposals from subcontractors and vendors, and evaluate responses to ensure project needs are fully addressed.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks in estimates, presenting findings to senior management for review.
- Software Utilization: Leverage industry-standard software tools like Bluebeam, Procore, and Buildertrend to streamline estimating processes and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications for the Senior Residential Estimator:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of experience in Construction Estimating, with a focus on high-end residential projects.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, Xactimate, and Buildertrend is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client and team relationships effectively.
