Job Overview – Fixed Income Operations Analyst (Hybrid):
Take on a temporary role as a Fixed Income Operations Analyst with our client in Stamford, CT, managing trade lifecycle processes, overseeing outsourced activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. This hybrid position focuses on driving efficiency, mitigating risk, and supporting strategic initiatives within the fixed income operations landscape.

Compensation: $450 – $640/day
Location: Stamford, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Fixed Income Operations Analyst:

  • Oversight & Issue Resolution: Supervise outsourced activities and manage time-sensitive trade lifecycle issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Compliance Supervision: Implement and enforce Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs), maintaining compliance and proper documentation.
  • Regulatory & Risk Management: Monitor adherence to regulatory initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and manage audit processes.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and execute opportunities to improve operational processes, reduce costs, and enhance controls.
  • Governance & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on outsourced activities, attend governance meetings, and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Cash & Ledger Management: Approve cash wires, handle month-end cash adjustments, and ensure reconciliation with the General Ledger.

Qualifications for the Fixed Income Operations Analyst:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Certifications: FINRA Series 99 and/or 7 required.
  • Experience: 7+ years in Investment Banking Operations or middle office roles, with expertise in fixed income products and processes.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of fixed income settlements, collateral management, funding, and broker-dealer regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with skills in data analysis and presentation.
  • Skills: Proven ability to manage stakeholders, lead audits, and oversee projects with a focus on risk and control principles.
