Job Overview – Research Associate:
Join our client in Cambridge, MA, as a Research Associate, supporting early-stage drug discovery in medicinal chemistry. This temporary role allows you to apply your research skills in synthesizing and purifying novel compounds while receiving advanced medicinal chemistry training.

Compensation: $25/hour
Location: Cambridge, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Responsibilities as the Research Associate:

  • Chemical Synthesis: Synthesize, isolate, and purify small molecules under supervision to support early-stage drug discovery projects.
  • Review & Planning: Plan synthetic routes, review data, and contribute to the characterization of novel compounds.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet project goals, analyze results, and present findings effectively to the chemistry team.
  • Documentation: Accurately document research in electronic lab notebooks, ensuring all work is recorded in a timely manner.
  • Project Delivery: Collaborate with team members and external partners to achieve key project milestones and objectives.

Qualifications for the Research Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry, with expertise in multi-step synthesis and purification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in synthetic and purification methods (Chromatography, HPLC, LCMS, NMR).
  • Attributes: Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
