Job Overview – Mechanical Project Manager:
Our trusted client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their expanding team in Springfield, MA! This full-time role involves overseeing mechanical construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Compensation: $90,000 – $115,000/year + bonus + car allowance
Location: Springfield, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Mechanical Project Manager:
- Project Representation: Attend all project-related meetings as the company’s representative.
- Project Management: Oversee project start-up and associated paperwork.
- Submittal Process: Manage the submittal and shop drawing process.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor productivity, safety, and job performance of labor and subcontractors.
- Scheduling: Manage project schedules, including manpower and material/equipment deliveries.
- Financial Management: Oversee the project’s financial performance, including monthly billing, change order negotiation, and compliance with job cost goals.
- Corporate Meetings: Attend monthly work-in-progress meetings with corporate management to review financial status of assigned projects.
Qualifications for the Mechanical Project Manager:
- Experience: 3-5 years in the construction industry as a Project Manager, Estimator, or Superintendent.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Financial Skills: Excellent financial management skills, including change order negotiation.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with and motivate subcontractors, vendors, and manpower.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Word and Excel.
