Compensation: $250,000 – $300,000 + bonus
Location: New York City (2-3 days in office/remote rest of the time)

Job Overview:
As the VP Internal Audit, your role will involve providing independent objective assurance and advisory services to improve controls, operations, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
In the role of VP of Internal Audit, your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and leading a team of internal auditors responsible for compliance monitoring and reporting
  • Identifying process-level risks and designing and implementing internal controls to mitigate risks
  • Developing and executing the annual Audit Plan, including financial, operational, SOX, and compliance audits
  • Supervising and oversee internal audits, including risk assessment, documentation, testing, and reporting
  • Collaborating with management to agree on audit findings, remediation, and action plans
  • Conducting follow-ups to ensure the timely remediation of audit findings
  • Designing analytics of business transaction data to support audits
  • Identifying systems, business, and processing improvement opportunities
  • Performing special projects and investigations as required
  • Reporting findings to the Audit Committee of the board of directors

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent (MBA a plus)
  • CPA or CA designation
  • Minimum 20 years of combined external and internal audit experience
  • Strong leadership and presentation skills
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and the IIA Standards
  • Experience with GRC platforms (SoxHub/Auditboard a plus)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a changing and global environment
  • Strong internal control background, including COSO 13
  • CIA or other professional designations are highly desired

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Pay Range: $225K – $300K
  • Incentive Compensation
