Job Overview – UX Engineer (Remote):
Our trusted client is looking for a bilingual UX Engineer with software testing experience to join their expanding team. This remote role involves working closely with development teams across the US and Mexico, ensuring high-quality software localization and user experience.
Compensation: $60/hour
Schedule: Remote Role (EST time zone)
Responsibilities as the UX Engineer:
- Localization Review: Evaluate software interfaces, documentation, and other content for localization consistency and quality.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide feedback on translated materials, conduct foreign language research, and address cultural/localization issues.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Guide junior staff, support project management, and lead meetings for status updates.
- Software Testing: Create and validate test plans, log issues in JIRA, and collaborate with teams.
- Linguistic Expertise: Serve as the main/backup expert for language translation and ensure proper downstream impacts on user guides and other materials.
Qualifications for the UX Engineer:
- Experience: 2-3 years in software localization with software testing or IT support experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Language Proficiency: Bilingual with translator-level fluency; strong command of English.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Atlassian suite (Confluence, JIRA), and translation software.
- Skills: Excellent communication, leadership abilities, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
