Position Overview – Senior Systems Administrator:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrators to join our client’s team, providing Level 3 Help Desk support in the Greater New York City area. MSP experience is a must, and candidates should have a strong work ethic along with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Compensation: $90,000.00 – $130,000.00
Location: New York City 

Responsibilities as a Senior Systems Administrator include:

  • Providing Level 3 Help Desk support with a focus on technical troubleshooting and complex problem resolution
  • Acting as an escalation point for Service Operations and addressing IT technology-related problems
  • Leading projects alongside Senior and Lead engineers, ensuring successful IT service releases and transitions
  • Administering client infrastructure, including Microsoft 365 environments and virtualized systems
  • Designing and implementing virtual solutions, including Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktops (WVD) and Multi-Session Windows 10
  • Leveraging strong Azure expertise and knowledge to ensure optimal cloud operations
  • Managing SAML Single Sign-on, Multi-Factor Authentication, Cloud Identity, and SaaS Identity administration/deployment
  • Scripting in PowerShell for various automation tasks
  • Supporting MDM solutions, such as Microsoft M365 Intune MDM and VMware AirWatch
  • Providing exceptional technical leadership and guidance to the team

Qualifications for the Senior Systems Administrator role include:

  • Minimum of 8 years of systems engineering experience across various technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, VMware vSphere/vCenter, and Public Cloud Hosting Technologies (AWS or Azure
  • Experience with Citrix XenApp VDI/VDA and Microsoft RDSH VDI/VDA
  • A track record of 3 years in Level 3 production help desk support
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell
  • Familiarity with MDM solutions, such as Microsoft M365 Intune MDM, VMware AirWatch, and Cisco Meraki Systems Manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous MSP experience
  • Azure qualifications
  • Network+ and Security+ certifications
  • Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • Mac OSX experience
  • Knowledge of ConnectWise is a plus
