Job Overview – Senior Private Equity Accountant:
We are seeking a Senior Private Equity Accountant to join our client’s team in NYC. In this critical role, you will lead the private equity accounting efforts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. In this role, you will collaborate across departments and leverage your expertise to ensure compliance with financial regulations and enhance reporting processes.
Compensation: $85,000.00 – $120,000.00 + bonus
Location: New York City
Responsibilities as the Senior Private Equity Accountant include:
- Overseeing the preparation of comprehensive financial statements and investor reports
- Managing complex reconciliations of investment transactions and portfolio activities
- Maintaining accurate accounting records for a diverse range of funds
- Leading efforts to ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborating with the Director of Compliance in conducting audits and reviews
- Analyzing fund performance, valuation metrics, and financial trends
- Coordinating external audits and examinations with precision
- Staying updated on evolving industry accounting practices and regulations
- Driving process improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior accounting team members
Qualifications as the Senior Private Equity Accountant include:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Substantial experience in private equity accounting and fund operations
- Profound understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and analysis
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration abilities
