Job Overview – Senior Manager of Tax
As the Senior Manager of Tax, you will be a key player in our client's tax strategy. This position will work alongside a team of 14 talented professionals while mentoring 1-2 direct reports. The Senior Manager will offer a unique blend of compliance responsibilities, ensuring tax efficiency and accuracy within a dynamic and evolving corporate landscape.

Compensation: $150,000.00 – $160,000.00 + bonus
Location: New Castle County, DE – Hybrid

Responsibilities as the Senior Manager of Tax include:

  • Oversee and manage federal tax compliance processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 1-2 reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information for tax reporting.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, providing guidance on potential impacts.
  • Drive process improvements in tax compliance procedures, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors, ensuring seamless collaboration on tax-related matters.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of tax strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely filing of federal tax returns.
  • Liaise with global tax teams, contributing to a cohesive and integrated tax function.

Qualifications for the Senior Manager of Tax:

  • 7+ years of managerial experience, preferably in a compliance-focused role.
  • Strong background in federal tax compliance, gained in reputable firms.
  • Experience in a corporate tax environment is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Ability to navigate complex tax landscapes and provide strategic insights.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
