Position Overview – Senior Fund Consultant:
Our client's primary office is located in Toronto, which enables a fully remote work arrangement for this role. While their immediate need is for temporary support, they are actively searching for a permanent hire in Toronto. Candidates who are open to relocating to Toronto may also have the opportunity to transition into a permanent role within the company.

Compensation: $60.00 – $70.00 / hourly
Location: Fully remote, with a preference for candidates in the Toronto area
Duration: 6+ months (potential for extension)

Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Consultant include:

  • Overseeing daily operations of the Fund reporting function for the Firm's credit strategy
  • Managing the preparation of quarterly and annual investor reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensuring timely delivery of internal performance metrics and dashboards on a daily basis
  • Participating in the quarterly valuation committee and collaborating with the investment team on investment valuations
  • Liaising with deal professionals to meet investment treasury requirements
  • Managing fund treasury, including capital calls and distributions, and assist in long-term cash management
  • Coordinating with the senior tax function for timely tax information preparation
  • Responding promptly to inquiries from vendors, auditors, investor relations, and the corporate team
  • Leading, mentoring, and training the team, focusing on process automation, policies, and continuous improvement
  • Assisting in fund launches while collaborating with investor relations and legal

Requirements for the Senior Fund Consultant include:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Strong background in fund accounting and control
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and valuation
  • Experience with treasury management, capital calls, and distributions
  • Ability to coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Familiarity with process automation and policy development
  • Flexibility for potential relocation to Toronto for a permanent role
