Job Overview – Senior Associate, Corporate Accounting (Hybrid):
Join our client’s corporate accounting team in Boston, MA, as a Senior Associate, where you will take ownership of the day-to-day accounting operations for the holding company and subsidiaries. You will lead the monthly and quarterly close processes, handle financial reporting, and support audit and compliance functions.
Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Associate, Corporate Accounting:
- Financial Statements: Prepare international subsidiaries’ statutory financial statements for governance filings and director presentation.
- Accounting Records: Maintain accounting records for holding companies and subsidiaries, including general ledger reconciliations and intercompany account monitoring.
- Reporting: Manage the quarterly close process and prepare financial statement disclosures and closing entries.
- Analysis: Review budget-to-actual results, forecasts, and provide updates to management.
- Special Projects: Prepare ad hoc reports and participate in special projects, enhancing technology to improve reporting.
Qualifications for the Senior Associate, Corporate Accounting:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 2-5 years of Accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Public Accounting firm.
- Industry Knowledge: Asset management, financial services, or consulting experience is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (ERP systems experience is a plus).
- Attributes: Highly motivated, detail-oriented, team player with strong communication and analytical skills.
