Job Overview – Senior Accountant/Payroll Accountant
The Senior Accountant/Payroll Accountant position provides a mostly hybrid work setup with regular in-person meetings. It involves tasks such as managing payroll records, distributing personnel expenses among entities, and handling general accounting duties for the company group. We seek team members with diverse experiences to contribute to our evolving accounting department and enhance current procedures and policies.
Compensation: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 + bonus
Location: Conshohocken, PA – Hybrid
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant/Payroll Accountant include:
- Leverage cross-functional expertise to centralize new accounting requirements driven by business growth.
- Manage payroll tax compliance, including reconciling tax withholdings and wages with the general ledger, collaborating with HR-Payroll, and recording variable pay accruals.
- Facilitate the monthly and quarterly financial close process, ensuring GAAP-compliant revenue recognition, performing analyses to support reserves and other financial entries, and maintaining journal entries and reconciliations.
- Enhance financial systems, participate in upgrades, and establish controls for GAAP-compliant revenue execution.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant/Payroll Accountant include:
- 4+ years of relevant experience; as well as a deep understanding of general ledger accounting, especially in the form of payroll accounting
- Proficiency in journalizing global payroll, with a focus on accounting and best practices
- Public Accounting background is desirable
- Open to candidates from various industry backgrounds
