Position Overview – Network Infrastructure Specialist:
Join our client's IT team as a Network Infrastructure Specialist. This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge computer networking and cybersecurity technologies in a thriving professional environment.
Compensation: $140,000.00 – $160,000.00
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Responsibilities as the Network Infrastructure Specialist include:
- Planning, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cloud services
- Supporting team members in resolving system and network issues, providing expert guidance
- Driving the design and deployment of new physical/virtual infrastructure to enhance performance and reliability
- Monitoring and innovating in response to infrastructure and cybersecurity trends, breaches, and standards
- Implementing state-of-the-art cybersecurity products and SaaS services, including regulatory compliance policies
- Managing service providers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining hardware/software inventory
- Learning, adapting, and working collaboratively in a technically challenging environment
- Working 40-60 hours/week in a fast-paced office-based setting with occasional travel to remote offices
Qualifications for the Network Infrastructure Specialist include:
- Experience with network firewalls and cybersecurity products
- Proficiency in Cisco routers, network switches, and wireless access points
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex network issues
- Knowledge of standard network protocols, scripting (e.g., PowerShell), and documentation
- Four-year degree in an IT or math-related field
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure-related positions
