Job Overview:
The Office Receptionist will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and answering phones. You would also perform administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the office. This is a contact position with the possibility for temp-to-hire conversion for exceptional candidates.
Responsibilities:
In the role of Office Receptionist, you will be responsible for the following —

Greeting and welcoming visitors as soon as they arrive at the office

Answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls

Receiving, sorting and distributing daily mail/deliveries
-
Maintaining office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk

Performing other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
-
Scheduling appointments and maintaining the appointment diary either manually or electronically

Providing basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
-
Ensuring reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures) in place

Assisting with ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Office Receptionist role, you should have —

High School diploma or equivalent

Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Professional attitude and appearance

Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise

Excellent organizational skills

Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
