Job Overview – Marketing Director
Seeking an energetic, organized, and highly motivated individual to help drive industry transformation in the role of Director of Marketing & Communications. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and successful collaborator in the areas of content development, digital marketing, event management, storytelling, media relations, along with experience with stakeholder, operations, people, and vendor management.  The candidate should be able to leverage their knowledge of biopharma R&D, to deliver outcomes with impact. Compensation: $225,000.00 – $250,000.00 + bonus
Location: Montgomery County, PA – Hybrid

Primary Responsibilities as the Marketing Director:

  • Provide forward thinking, audience relevant, and results-oriented vision and operational marketing and communications leadership.
  • Develop and manage the execution of a content strategy to create high-quality, engaging content for various platforms (e.g. Press Releases, Newsletters, Emails, Blog Posts content for the website and social media).
  • Lead and manage digital marketing efforts, including website strategy, social media, and search to optimize presence and performance.
  • Own and manage the planning, execution, and cross-functional coordination of internal and external events, such as roundtables, webinars, and conferences.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all materials and communications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with media representatives, managing media inquiries and interview requests and crafting articles and other content, along with expanding presence into new media outlets.
  • Serve as trusted advisor on internal and external communications matters.
  • Develop executive and leadership level communications including presentations, message points and other high-level correspondence.
  • Build trusted partnership with Member Company Communications functions.
  • Create and manage project timelines, asset development, approvals, and budget, effectively using resources to meet current and future marketing and communications needs.
  • Nurture and develop high-potential talent within the organization, managing direct reports.
  • Scope and manage efforts of contracted vendors (Public Relations, Website), defining and measuring success metrics.
  • Stay informed of industry news and trends.

Required Experience of the Marketing Director:

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in communications & marketing.
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical company, member-based association and/or industry consortia.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must have a solid foundational understanding of clinical research and development processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee the management of multiple complex projects and fully deliver them on time and on budget.
  • Experience coaching, motivating, and leading a team (internal employees and contractors).
