Position Overview – Manager of FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis):
As the Manager of FP&A, you will be a pivotal figure in shaping the financial decision-making process for our client's organization.

Compensation: $145,000.00.00 – $165,000.00 + bonus
Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Responsibilities of the Manager of FP&A include:

  • Oversight of operational modeling and reporting for long-term planning and analysis
  • Working closely with senior executives, including the CFO, EVP, and VP of FP&A, to develop integrated plans, budgets, and systems for strategic decision-making
  • Developing and maintaining business models across the organization
  • Conducting both recurring and ad hoc financial and operational analyses and reporting
  • Assisting in the creation and implementation of effective systems and processes
  • Preparing business forecasts, budget materials, and conducting variance analysis
  • Building analytical models to project the impact of various inputs on business and fund performance
  • Constructing hypothetical models for evaluating new products and strategies
  • Quality-controlling accounting data and reconciling variances
  • Managing multiple assignments, ensuring project deadlines are met, and identifying opportunities for process improvement

Qualifications of the Manager of FP&A include:

  • 7 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on transactional, due diligence, modeling, and analytics. (A Master's degree and 4 years of experience will be considered)

  • A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration with an excellent GPA

  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel modeling and SQL or an alternative programming language. Experience with accounting and forecasting software (e.g., Anaplan, Investran, and/or NetSuite)

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and critical thinking abilities, along with a conceptual knowledge of databases.
