Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000 + bonus

Job Overview:
As the Management Company Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and reporting functions for management companies. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the continued success of the firm.
Responsibilities:
In the role of Management Company Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing accounting responsibilities within the quarterly close cycle
- Performing a detailed monthly review of all P&L activity by Business Unit
- Assisting with the management of expense codes and corresponding allocation rules
- Handling all facets of the expense allocation close process, including reviewing and analyzing expenses and understanding allocation methodologies
- Managing consolidated quarterly financial reporting, including financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
- Presenting quarterly financial results to leadership
- Reviewing fee-related items such as management fees, transaction fee offsets, and specialized services
- Managing employee allocations process
- Developing and maintaining efficient internal controls and business processes
- Identifying efficiencies and improving effectiveness by determining best practices
- Interacting with various departments within the organization
- Managing and performing special projects and analysis for leadership
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Management Company Accounting Manager role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-8 years of financial reporting and analysis experience
- Strong accounting acumen and knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles
- Professional certifications are a plus (CPA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm is preferred
- Experience with alternative investments and management company accounting is desirable
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with general ledger and reporting
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive mindset
- Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Deadline-oriented with the ability to meet time-sensitive requirements
- Project management skills to handle multiple work streams concurrently
