Job Overview: 
As the Management Company Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and reporting functions for management companies. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the continued success of the firm.

Responsibilities:
In the role of Management Company Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing accounting responsibilities within the quarterly close cycle
  • Performing a detailed monthly review of all P&L activity by Business Unit
  • Assisting with the management of expense codes and corresponding allocation rules
  • Handling all facets of the expense allocation close process, including reviewing and analyzing expenses and understanding allocation methodologies
  • Managing consolidated quarterly financial reporting, including financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Presenting quarterly financial results to leadership
  • Reviewing fee-related items such as management fees, transaction fee offsets, and specialized services
  • Managing employee allocations process
  • Developing and maintaining efficient internal controls and business processes
  • Identifying efficiencies and improving effectiveness by determining best practices
  • Interacting with various departments within the organization
  • Managing and performing special projects and analysis for leadership

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Management Company Accounting Manager role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5-8 years of financial reporting and analysis experience
  • Strong accounting acumen and knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles
  • Professional certifications are a plus (CPA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm is preferred
  • Experience with alternative investments and management company accounting is desirable
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with general ledger and reporting
  • Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive mindset
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Deadline-oriented with the ability to meet time-sensitive requirements
  • Project management skills to handle multiple work streams concurrently
