Loan Finance Analyst
Compensation: $80,000 – $105,000 + bonus
Location: Fairfield County, CT
A structured credit/credit hedge fund with over $9 billion in assets is seeking a Loan Finance Analyst for their non-ISIN accounting team. The analyst will be responsible for portfolio monitoring, reconciling and processing monthly loan servicer remittance tapes, assisting in day-to-day repo financing, and conducting initial analysis on trading activity.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile and process monthly whole loan servicer remittance tapes
- Assist with daily requests and inquiries from portfolio management, loan sellers, and loan servicers
- Support data integrity related to quantitative and qualitative loan characteristics
- Help manage day-to-day repo financing and strategize for future approaches
- Assist in relationship management and onboarding for loan servicers, repo counterparties, and trustee/calculation agents
- Participate in development of the proprietary whole loan portfolio management system
- Conduct initial analysis on trading activity to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
- Contribute to profit/loss calculations for whole loan products
- Assist in responding to audit requests related to whole loan products
- Assist in tax amortization calculations for whole loan products
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in administration, Big 4/large regional, operations from a bank, or other relevant background
- Strong technology skills, including VBA and SQL
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- Creative problem solver with a desire to apply that aptitude in a fast-paced and complicated environment
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized, with a willingness to learn and be challenged
- Proficient in Excel
- Familiarity with computer programming desired (SQL)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
