Job Overview – IT Support Specialist:
Our client is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join their team in a hybrid role based in Atlanta, Georgia. This position requires providing excellent customer service and technical support to end users.

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $50,000 – $55,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities as the IT Support Specialist:

  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Help Desk Support: Field incoming help requests from end users via various intakes and document all pertinent information.
  • Ticket Management: Record, track, and document incidents and requests in the ticketing tool, ensuring all actions and resolutions are captured.
  • Problem Resolution: Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQs to aid in resolving problems.
  • Hands-On Fixes: Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including software installation, hardware installation, file backups, and system configuration.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals.
  • Trend Analysis: Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends to prevent future problems.
  • Incident Escalation: Identify and escalate critical incidents.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the IT Support Specialist:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Relevant work experience required.
  • Skills: Strong written and oral communication, excellent interpersonal and documentation skills, quick information retention, VOIP telecom support, basic network device knowledge, user-friendly presentations, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
