Job Overview – IT Director:
Our client, a leading accounting and financial consultancy firm, is seeking an experienced IT Director. This remote role involves leading the department responsible for infrastructure and technology services, working closely with leaders of key functions and service lines, and being a critical resource to firm leadership.

Location: Remote
Compensation: $200,000 – $300,000/year + bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities as the IT Director:

  • Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing technology team, develop expertise, support career advancement, and be a committed coaching resource.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and robust security measures to protect customer data and privacy.
  • Technology Strategy: Collaborate with key service leaders to guide and deliver a business-oriented technology strategy aligned with the Firm’s market success.
  • Platform Development: Enhance the technology infrastructure to support the rapidly-evolving organization, including managing the people and processes necessary to stay at the forefront of the industry.
  • Services Management: Lead an ITSM-oriented service organization focused on providing a superior experience for client service professionals and external clients.
  • Project and Change Management: Deliver strategic technology projects such as software deployment, automation, artificial intelligence, and others.
  • Data Analytics: Enable data-driven insights by providing the data, tools, and expertise needed to drive overall business performance.
  • Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Foster an environment of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning, bounded by sound business judgment.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.

Qualifications for the IT Director:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the development, installation, and maintenance of information systems, with 5+ years in a leadership role with supervisory experience.
  • Skills: IT security best practices, secure IT infrastructure management, IT service delivery, large-scale technology project deployment, vendor/consultant management, compliance and data privacy expertise, strong communication skills, and effective collaboration.
