Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 + bonus

Location: Goshen, NY

Construction company is seeking to add a Head of Finance to its growing team. The main responsibilities of the new Head of Finance are financial planning, annual budgeting, and forecasting.

Highlights About the Company & Position:

  • Responsibility for providing a broad approach to finance business collaboration for multiple functional team members including P&L support with consideration given to pricing, yield, margins, operating costs & profitability.
  • Focus of the role is to provide overall financial insights into business drivers in order to deliver and develop the site’s strategic objectives and annual budget.
  • Support Finance Director by producing complex/custom analysis that requires sound business knowledge and understanding of business trends.
  • Understand and support the business to maintain audit and financial legislative standards, working with Partners to embed good practice with excellent communication skills.
  • Support the Finance Business Partners to develop tactical delivery plans supporting the overarching financial objectives.
  • Able to assess insights, both from an operational and financial perspective, and then articulate the impacts with clear recommendations.
  • Budget authority, service ownership, and leadership of cash office specialists including performance, engagement, and learning development.
  • Preparation of month-end commentary, providing insights and suggestions for remedial activities.
  • Designs and carries out sensitivity and stress tests for financial initiatives.
  • Demonstrates awareness and understanding of the wider business drivers and challenges when communicating all financial information.
  • Interprets regulations and expresses the technical detail in a clear and effective way.


  • CPA, MBA qualification.
  • 5 years or more of previous experience.
  • Experience in a Commercial Finance role.
  • Experience in running and performing budgeting or forecasting processes.
  • Providing financial support that drives the commercial decisions.
  • Ability to manage the delivery of and compliance with all legal requirements including statutory accounts, audits, company secretarial, contracts, and health & safety.
  • Experience in a consumer-facing organization with a continuous improvement agenda.
  • Excellent analytical ability with good attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present plans to support business decisions, to both finance and non-finance team members.
