Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000+ bonus

Company Overview:
Our client is a risk, compliance, investigations, regulatory monitoring, financial crimes risk and compliance, and advisory services firm headquartered in New York City. They are seeking an experienced Global Controller to join their team.
Responsibilities:
The Global Controller will report to the COO and be responsible for overseeing the company's global financial operations. Key responsibilities include —
- Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Overseeing the month-end close process and preparation of financial statements
- Managing the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors
- Monitoring and analyzing financial performance and preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports for senior management
- Leading the development and implementation of financial controls and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Managing global tax compliance and coordinating with external tax advisors
- Working closely with other departments to ensure alignment of financial objectives with overall business goals
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Global Controller role, you should have —
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10-25 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Experience working in a law firm, accounting firm (back office, not an auditor or tax person), or another consulting firm
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with managing global financial operations and working with international teams
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
