Senior Fund Accountant/Controller
Compensation: $40 – $50/hr
Atlantic Group is representing a company that is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant/Controller to oversee the daily operations of the Fund reporting function for the Firm's credit strategy on a temporary basis. This position is temporary with the possibility of conversion to permanent if successful.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the Fund reporting function for the Firm’s credit strategy
- Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual investor reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial information
- Ensure daily timely delivery of internal performance metrics and dashboards
- Participate in the quarterly valuation committee while interfacing with the investment team to ensure investment valuations are supported
- Liaise with deal professionals to ensure meet investment treasury requirements
- Manage fund treasury, including capital calls and distributions and assist in long term cash management
- Coordinate with the senior tax function to ensure timely preparation of tax information
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, auditors, investor relations, corporate team, etc.
- Lead, mentor, and train the team
- Focus on process automation, policies, and continuous improvement
- Assist in fund launches while liaising with investor relations and legal
- Participate in projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6-15 years of relevant experience in fund accounting or fund operations
- CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software
