Position Overview – Financial Reporting Manager:
We are on the lookout for a driven Financial Reporting Manager to join our client’s reporting team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing off-shore operations, ensuring efficient and precise execution.
Compensation: $100,000.00 – $121,000.00 + bonus
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Responsibilities as the Financial Reporting Manager include:
- Compilation, review, and delivery of audited financial statements for non-life subsidiaries
- Support annual separate account reporting and SEC filings
- Leadership of offshore teams, overseeing the preparation, review, and submission of subsidiary financial reports
- Coordination of subsidiary audits, collaboration with external auditors, and tracking audit completion
- Ensure the timely incorporation of GAAP accounting changes into subsidiary reports.
- Effective management of priorities, communication of key deliverables, and leading discussions for problem-solving
- Monitor critical elements related to subsidiary reporting
- Update reporting systems to reflect changes in the subsidiaries' hierarchy structure
- Preparation of materials for Board of Directors (BOD) meetings for specific subsidiaries
- Supervise the offshore team and provide support for various financial reports
Qualifications for the Financial Reporting Manager include:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting
- MBA or equivalent preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in US GAAP and statutory reporting
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated accountability and commitment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and meet deadlines
