The Equity Accounting Associate will focus on the ongoing operation of the financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for the Corporate Accounting team. Within the Corporate Accounting team, this position will manage the accounting of the General Partnership entities including promote/carried interest plans to drive best-in-class processes and reporting. 

Highlights About the Company & Position:

  • Manage the accounting responsibilities within the quarterly and annual closing cycles for the General Partnership entities.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and business processes.
  • Manage the implementation of a new accounting system, Investran. This will include the following:
    • Develop and document the future state processes.
    • Prepare data for migration with the assistance of third-party vendors.
    • Conduct testing in Investran in conjunction with the other integrated accounting systems including Workday.
  • Interface as necessary with external auditors and service providers.
  • Coordinate the execution of procedures with various teams including management company accounting, fund accounting, legal and human capital/resource functions.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects, both operational and financial.


  • 7 – 10+ years accounting experience.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience managing a team.
  • Candidates must possess an accounting degree, or equivalent.
  • Strong accounting and excel skills; professional certification (CPA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Investran, a plus.
  • Self-starter who requires little direction.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong sense of urgency; ability to execute quickly and efficiently with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Structured problem solver who is able to synthesize sophisticated information from a variety of sources into implementable recommendations and solutions.
