Job Overview – Employee Relations Specialist:
Join our client’s team as an Employee Relations Specialist! This role offers the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid model. The Employee Relations Specialist will partner with HR Business Partners to provide comprehensive support to employees and managers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

Location: Boston, MA
Compensation: $45 – $50/hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Remote or Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Employee Relations Specialist:

  • Employee and Manager Support: Assist HR Business Partners with escalations, employee relations, corrective actions, and Workday updates.
  • Workday and Termination Management: Manage organizational updates in Workday, including job changes, terminations, and severance documentation.
  • Investigations and Performance Improvement: Conduct investigations and recommend actions for employee issues. Develop and execute performance improvement plans with managers.
  • Policy and Trend Analysis: Address HR policy inquiries, facilitate policy modifications, and analyze exit interview data for organizational trends.
  • Talent Management: Support talent management processes, including performance reviews and development programs.
  • Reporting: Generate reports and provide insights for HR Business Partners.
  • Compensation and Training: Approve compensation adjustments and deliver training on employee relations topics.
  • Escalation Support: Provide support for escalated AskHR cases, ensuring efficient resolution of employee inquiries and concerns.

Qualifications for the Employee Relations Specialist:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of employee relations experience.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
  • Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, problem-solving, relationship building, HR policy knowledge, confidentiality management, adaptability, attention to detail, organizational skills, and cultural sensitivity.
