Job Overview – Employee Relations Manager:
Join our client’s HR team as an Employee Relations Manager in San Diego, CA. You’ll work with HR Business Partners to improve the employee experience, providing support on employee relations issues, guiding corrective actions, managing Workday changes, and conducting investigations.
Compensation: $40 – $50/hour
Location: San Diego, CA
Responsibilities as the Employee Relations Manager:
- Employee Relations Support: Partner with HR Business Partners to provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Organizational Changes: Ensure accurate updates to organizational structures in Workday, including manager changes, position closures, and job change requests.
- Investigations & Recommendations: Conduct thorough investigations into employee-related issues and provide recommendations for appropriate actions.
- Policy Management: Address escalated inquiries concerning HR policies and assist in facilitating requests for modifications or the creation of new policies.
- Talent Management: Provide coaching and support to managers for talent management and organizational development processes, including performance reviews and talent development programs.
- Training & Development: Design and deliver training sessions on relevant employee relations topics for employees and managers.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports and provide strategic insights on talent for HR Business Partners.
Qualifications for the Employee Relations Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Experience: 5-8 years of employee relations experience, with a strong understanding of HR policies and employment law.
- Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably Workday. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Attributes: Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, manage conflicts impartially, and analyze complex situations to develop effective solutions.
