Job Overview – Document Control Specialist:
Our client seeks a Document Control Specialist in Boston, MA, to work under the Quality Document Control Manager. You will ensure control, security, integrity, and availability of documentation for site personnel, playing a key role in maintaining document control and record retention globally.
Location: Boston, MA
Compensation: $20 – $24/hour
Schedule: Flexible Shifts
Responsibilities as the Document Control Specialist Include:
- Change Order Management: Review and approve change orders in PLM to maintain document accuracy.
- Data Management: Create and update documentation master files and maintain supplier data in PLM.
- Organizational Tasks: Perform filing, record retention, and manage historical documentation from offsite storage.
- Retention: Ensure proper record retention and retrieval from offsite storage facilities.
- Coordination: Collaborate on controlled document activities globally, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications for the Document Control Specialist Include:
- Experience: 1-2 years in document management (QC or GMP/ISO-certified environment preferred).
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, with basic data entry skills.
- Attributes: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Clerical Skills: Strong clerical skills, including filing and alphabetization.
- Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of documentation functions in a medical device company preferred.
