Data Sourcing and Management Director
Compensation: $150,000 – 200,000 base + bonus
Location: New York City

As the Data Sourcing and Management Director, you will lead the sourcing of third-party market data, oversee vendor management, and ensure cross-functional coordination to support essential business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a long-term strategy to meet market data needs, including a strategic sourcing program to identify alternative data sources
- Evaluate and source new vendors, providing insightful decision making in vendor selection and retention
- Manage a $20M+ cross-functional budget, including short, medium, and long-term business planning
- Ensure full end-to-end data contract lifecycle management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of an outsourced vendor management team
- Gather and monitor feedback on product performance, usage, and adherence to contract for 90+ external market data vendors
- Serve as a key “sparring partner” for colleagues to problem-solve creative approaches to solve key business initiatives involving data vendors
- Manage the firm's ad hoc research report purchase program
- Develop an analysis of key spending trends
- Synthesize and present key findings to the Vice President and Managing Director, Growth Acceleration
Requirements:
- 6-10+ years' experience in cross-functional project management, research, or data vendor management roles in the finance or consulting industry
- At least 4+ years' experience working with financial services and/or alternative market data platforms
- Experience managing and forecasting a multi-million dollar budget is a plus
- Strong quantitative skills and financial management skills are a must
