In this role, you will lead the privacy initiatives, ensuring responsible data management across the organization and compliance with global regulations and best practices.

Compensation: $95,000.00 – $160,000.00 + bonus
Location: Essex County, NJ

Responsibilities as the Privacy Manager include:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining global privacy policies in compliance with regulations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data protection requirements into new projects
  • Reviewing and updating data protection policies in response to changes in laws
  • Managing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) in accordance with privacy laws
  • Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and supporting incident response efforts
  • Collaborating with third-party vendors to ensure data privacy obligations are met
  • Providing privacy training and awareness programs to employees and vendors
  • Monitoring changes in data privacy laws and ensuring ongoing compliance
  • Serving as a point of contact for privacy inquiries
  • Reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer and working cross-functionally to integrate the Privacy Program

Qualifications for the Data Privacy Manager include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in data privacy or related fields
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to execute tasks accurately
  • Proficiency in understanding and aligning tasks with strategic objectives
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Project management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of data protection legislation, including GDPR, CCPA, and others
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CDPSE, CIPM, CISSP, CIPP, CIPT) preferred
