Step into a pivotal role as a Corporate Tax Manager within our client’s team. As a key player, you will contribute to reducing tax risks, facilitating M&A transactions, and ensuring compliance with tax accounting rules. Compensation: $110,000.00 – $130,000.00 + bonus
Location: Boston, Massachusetts 

Responsibilities as the Corporate Tax Manager include:

  • Crafting and reviewing income tax provisions following GAAP and statutory accounting rules (ASC 740 and SSAP 101).
  • Formulating and reviewing necessary Federal tax forms for domestic life insurance and non-insurance subsidiaries.
  • Providing support during GAAP and statutory audits.
  • Assisting in IRS and state audits.
  • Contributing to tax planning opportunities, M&A transactions, and modeling tax impacts of proposed legislation and capital planning projects.
  • Cultivating strong working relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with external auditors throughout the audit cycle.
  • Conducting technical research and documenting reached conclusions.

Qualifications for the Corporate Tax Manager include:

  • Over 5 years of experience in tax accounting (GAAP – ASC 740).
  • Over 5 years of managing corporate tax technical functions.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Bonus points for experience with insurance tax accounting, statutory (SSAP 101).
  • Highly desirable to hold a CPA or MST.
  • Proficient computer skills, including tax compliance software, GL systems, and research software.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to identify issues, conduct research, and propose effective solutions.
