Position Overview – Controls Oversight Manager:
Be a pivotal force in our client's team as a Controls Oversight Manager. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Accounting Policy/Advisory and Controls Oversight, playing a crucial role in managing the internal financial control environment. 

Compensation: $90,000.00 – $118,000.00 + bonus + pension
Location: Boston, Massachusetts – Hybrid (3 days in the office)

Responsibilities as a Controls Oversight Manager include:

  • Monitoring control deficiencies impacting the company's financial statements
  • Partnering with process/deficiency owners to assess risk and prioritize control issues
  • Developing and executing effective remediation plans, ensuring timely closure
  • Leading or supporting testing of internal controls
  • Establishing a framework to oversee and evaluate control activities
  • Reporting on trends related to control issues
  • Enhancing the standardization of control deficiency assessment and remediation plans
  • Collaborating with process owners to improve efficiency and effectiveness of controls
  • Reviewing internal control and auditing reports for subsidiary evaluations
  • Contributing to senior/executive management and Audit Committee presentations

Qualifications for the Controls Oversight Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Over 5 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting
  • Significant familiarity with US GAAP or Statutory accounting/reporting
  • MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 8+ years of financial analysis and reporting experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and Statutory accounting/reporting
  • Capability to independently research and resolve complex business problems
