Job Overview – Controller (Hybrid):
Take on a dynamic leadership role as a Financial Controller with our client in Bucks County, PA. You’ll oversee and execute all financial and accounting operations while partnering with the company’s President and private equity stakeholders. This position blends strategic financial management with hands-on operational leadership, focusing on accuracy, process optimization, and driving company growth and success.
Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000/year + bonus
Location: Bucks County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Controller (Hybrid):
- Financial Reporting: Oversee accounting systems, ensure accurate reporting, and prepare financial statements and performance reports.
- Accounting Operations: Manage AP, AR, payroll, billing, and benefits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and maintaining general ledger integrity.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting processes, develop cash flow forecasts, and analyze operating results to establish performance goals.
- Banking & Audits: Oversee bank covenant compliance reporting and manage annual external audits with accounting firms.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the President and private equity partners to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Research and implement accounting rules, regulations, and best practices to improve efficiency.
Qualifications for the Controller (Hybrid):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 8+ years of Corporate Accounting experience required, with a preference for private equity-backed or retail/inventory environments.
- Technical: Proficiency in GAAP, QuickBooks, database systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, XLookups).
- Analytical Strengths: Expertise in cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and treasury management, with the ability to deliver actionable insights.
- Attributes: Professional, detail-oriented, and adept at communicating complex financial concepts to non-accounting professionals.
