Job Overview – Controller (Hospitality Industry)

Join our client's team as a Controller and lead financial operations in a dynamic, private equity-backed company located in Montgomery County, PA. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity for career advancement within 18-24 months.

Compensation: $175,000.00 – $200,000.00 + bonus 
Location: Montgomery County, PA – Hybrid

Responsibilities of the Controller (Hospitality Industry) include:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general accounting, debt, cash accounting, and AP/AR functions.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Collaborate with the VP Finance to develop and implement financial processes and controls, managing the volume of accounting transactions effectively.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and private equity stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies to support the company's growth and strategic objectives.
  • Play a key role in the company's financial planning and forecasting processes, contributing to decision-making and long-term financial strategy.
  • Act as a liaison between the finance team and other departments, fostering strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications of the Controller (Hospitality Industry) include:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a combination of corporate accounting and management roles.
  • Strong accounting management skills, with experience in GL, accounting operations, and financial reporting.
  • Leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and developing accounting teams.
  • Experience in commercial industries preferred; familiarity with private equity-backed companies is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and drive results.
