We’re working with a mid-sized, family-owned, firm to support their hiring needs for a Construction Administrative Assistant! This position is in Port Richmond, Philadelphia. The Construction Administrative Assistant will be responsible for coordinating schedules for customer service on Department of Transportation Projects. An ideal candidate will have at least a basic level of experience reading blueprints. Our client offers a full benefits package with great team culture. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Department of Transportation Projects
- Contact customer to coordinate construction schedule and contact information
- Obtain directions to job sites
- Translate DOT bar schedule into aSa format for shop production
- Enter orders into computer, assign order numbers & delivery dates
- Coordinate with shop special needs and bend types
- Maintain log which indicates release numbers, descriptions, weight and loading information
- Distribute to appropriate staff including dispatch, shop and customer
- Customer Service including addressing and resolving daily issues relating to fabrication, delivery, and back charges
- Timely follow-up with job site contacts for updates on construction and delivery schedules
- Assist outside detailers with processing orders in correct format
REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer proficiency
- Basic math skills
- High School Diploma
- Shear 97 or aSa software knowledge
- Basic knowledge of blue prints
