Position Overview – Compliance Consulting | Senior Associate:
Join our client’s hedge fund and private equity firm as a Senior Associate specializing in compliance consulting. Lead or support client regulatory compliance engagements, oversee diverse portfolios, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Stay informed about regulatory developments and guide clients on compliance procedures.
Compensation: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 + bonus
Location: New York City
Responsibilities as the Senior Associate include:
- Leading or supporting the entire sales cycle, including pitches, proposals, and contract terms
- Providing primary day-to-day oversight for a substantial client portfolio
- Navigating practical compliance matters related to SEC, CFTC, NFA, FINRA rules, and other applicable regulators
- Leading clients in developing compliance policies, procedures, and manuals
- Conducting compliance training on various protocols and topics
- Anticipating and addressing client regulatory risks effectively
- Staying up-to-date with current regulatory trends and future developments
- Managing regulatory mock examination audits, including documentation and drafting reports
Requirements for the Senior Associate include:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; J.D. or Advanced degree is a plus
- 6-8 years of industry experience in asset management, law firms, advisory services, or regulatory roles
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective on-site client collaboration
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Independent, collaborative problem-solving approach
- Strong analytical and research abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a team environment
- Quick mastery of new tasks and concepts
