Job Overview:
We are seeking an Associate, Product Control to join our client's innovative back-office team. In this role, you will oversee key financial controls, reconcile and distribute global firm-wide profit and loss (P&L), produce internal and external reports, prepare regulatory filings, and support various ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities:
In the role of Associate, Product Control, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Performing daily reconciliation of P&L between front office and back office systems (Geneva)
  • Explaining the drivers of P&L for each underlying investment strategy on a daily basis
  • Conducting analytical control checks to ensure the integrity of balance sheet and P&L data
  • Responding to ad hoc queries from various departments such as Trading, Marketing, Legal, Middle Office, Operations, Fund Accounting, and Tax
  • Assisting in automating and improving existing processes to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Supporting the month-end price verification process and collaborating with Fund Administrators and auditors to resolve pricing challenges
  • Aiding in the quarterly valuation process, which may involve reviewing or preparing valuation memos and models
  • Preparing internal and external reports, including regulatory reporting
  • Coordinating with Product Control team members across different regions to ensure 24-hour global coverage and support through appropriate handoffs between regions

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Associate, Product Control role, you should have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Product Control/P&L position, preferably from an investment bank, large investment fund, or similar institution (Not Operations)
  • Product exposure in Fixed Income Credit, including bonds, bank debt, and some foreign exchange (FX)
  • Very good Excel skills for data management, data analysis, and visualization
  • Familiarity with Alteryx and Geneva
